MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
CLASS SUBSCRIPTION AUTO-RENEWAL
As a customer of One River School, you authorize One River School to automatically charge the card you have specified on the 1st day of each month for monthly membership fees until either you cancel or we terminate your membership.
MEMBERSHIP FEE AUTO-RENEWAL
You will be charged the $35 membership fee on the anniversary of your enrollment, which can neither be refunded or prorated. This charge will occur as long as you remain enrolled or frozen in a class.
CANCELING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
You may cancel your subscription by requesting a Cancellation Form. Canceling your membership requires a Cancellation Form submission prior to the first day of your last month attending, and therefore, one final membership payment. Any unused class sessions or makeups will be forfeited at the end of your final membership month. Any unclaimed artwork will be recycled after 30 days of subscription termination.
FREEZING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
You may freeze your membership for a maximum period of 6 months by filling out a Freeze Form. Freezing your membership requires a pre-payment which will be used as a credit for your return month’s membership. This pre-payment guarantees your seat in the class for your return. We encourage you to return within 6 months, after that time you will forfeit your pre-payment. Monetary refunds will not be issued for Freeze Prepayments.
MAKEUP CLASSES
Makeups must be completed within 60 days of the missed class and must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance. One River reserves specific days and times for makeup sessions, based on classroom availability, and students may not make up classes in classes other than the Makeup Sessions. Monetary refunds will not be issued to customers who miss a class. Students aged 3-grade 5 will work on a project to supplement a skill they have missed in their regular class.
EXCESSIVE ABSCENCES
One River encourages you to attend your classes regularly, as this helps students build a rapport with the teacher and their classmates and ensures they finish projects on time. One River will make every effort to contact you if you miss more than 2 consecutive classes. One River reserves the right to terminate the subscriptions of students who miss 6 consecutive classes without communication to our facility.
MEMBERSHIP PRICING
You acknowledge and agree that we may change the amount of your recurring monthly membership price after providing you notice at least 30 days in advance of such a change, to be emailed to you at the email address you provide upon enrollment.
CANCELING A CAMP
Members who wish to withdraw from a camp must notify One River School at least 14 days prior to the start date to receive full One River School credit. Monetary refunds will not be issued to members who wish to withdraw from a camp.
CAMP CREDITS
Credits can be used for enrollment in all programs at One River School and expire one year from the date of issue. Credits are non-transferrable to other members, but can be used by the purchasing customer for any member they pay for.
GENERAL SCHOOL POLICIES
DROP-OFF & PICKUP
We ask that students be dropped off no more than 10 minutes prior to their class start time and be picked up no later than 10 minutes after their end time to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff.
ILLNESS
Please do not attend One River School if you are exhibiting symptoms of illness. If your child has been kept home from school, please schedule a makeup and do not attend your regular class. One River reserves the right to request pickup for any student exhibiting symptoms of an illness. While we make every effort to maintain a clean and sanitary environment, One River cannot promise or guarantee that pathogens will not enter our facility.
SAFETY
Please inform One River of any allergies, physical or dietary limitations, and/or concerns that may relate to you or your child(ren). It is the responsibility of the member or the child’s parent/guardian to inform One River of any allergies (e.g. peanuts) that would be of concern. One River is not held responsible for any bodily injuries or damages sustained as a result of participating in any class or camp.
BEHAVIOR
Students are expected to follow all instructions and behave respectfully and responsibly. Students who are exceptionally disruptive, or damage the studio or materials may be asked not to continue attending class.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Students will occasionally participate in outdoor activities. All outdoor activities will be supervised by One River School staff. If you do not wish for your child to participate in outdoor activities, you must notify us in writing.
HOLIDAY CLOSURES
One River School will be closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday following Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Classes missed due to holidays will not be refunded or prorated, however students will have the ability to complete a makeup for the missed class during pre-scheduled makeup sessions.
INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSURES
One River School will inform students and members of any additional closures due to inclement weather via e-mail. Classes missed due to inclement weather will not be refunded or prorated, however students will have the ability to complete a makeup for the missed class during pre-scheduled makeup sessions.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & MEDIA
One River School staff take photographs and videos for use on internal and external marketing platforms. By participating in One River School programs, you are authorizing One River School to utilize your or your child(ren)’s likeness. If you do not wish for your or your child(ren)’s likeness to be used in internal and external marketing platforms you must notify us in writing.
